Injection: Liquid plastic is injected into the cavity of the mold under high pressure through an injection device (screw or plunger).

Cooling and curing: The plastic cools in the mold and begins to cure, forming into the shape of the final product. The temperature, pressure and cooling time of the mold are the key parameters in this stage.

Mold opening and product removal: Once the plastic is fully cured, the mold will open and the molded product can be removed. This step is usually done with the aid of a robotic arm.

Post-treatment: The removed product may require removal of burrs, sanding, coloring, or other surface treatment to meet the requirements of the final product.

Repeat cycle: After the mold is closed, the next injection cycle can be started to produce another product.

The advantages of injection molding include fast production speed, relatively low cost, the ability to produce complex shapes on a large scale, and good product consistency and repeatability. However, it also has some disadvantages, such as the high manufacturing cost of the mold, so it is not economical for small batch production; Some special plastic materials may require special handling and processing conditions; And the design of the product is limited by the mold shape.
